Since I started PT’ing I’ve had the privilege of coaching people to marathon PB’s; to their first Chest-To-Bar Pull Up and Bar Muscle Up, through rehabilitation of shoulder and knee injuries alongside physio/ Osteos and working on the skill or requisite strength for everything in between.

Individualised programming
Alongside 1-1 and small group sessions I also offer programming. Drawing on my years of running, as well as CrossFit experience as both an athlete and coach I program for specific skill, strength development as well as competition or race preparation.

About Me:

After running over 100 races including marathons, halfs and many a 5km I thought of myself as very fit. Then I was introduced to CrossFit and soon found out how wrong I was! It was in that first class, four years ago, that I knew I’d stumbled across something that could have a huge influence on me as an athlete and coach – and I was right!

My perspective of health and what it means to be ‘fit’ is always evolving but one thing that has always been a constant is the need for consistency and community. Building a network of people around you that add value to your life and aren’t just nodding dogs. That challenge you to progress and after celebrating that success, challenge you again. This coupled with a consistently balanced and active lifestyle is the key to a long and happy life.

That’s why I became and a coach, then a PT, then invested in CrossFit Colchester. To provide that challenge and consistency and build/ nurture a community that does the same for each other.

With a background of 10 years in a professional football set up I’m used to working in with large groups as well as 1 to 1. I believe CrossFit is for absolutely everyone and I thoroughly enjoy helping people achieve their goals.

I am one of the UK’s top functional fitness athletes and have a vast amount of competition experience. This has become an invaluable asset to me as a coach and a very unique selling point, as I am able to pass on lessons and knowledge you couldn’t buy or learn on any course.

I am the perfect coach to help take you from middle of the pack to a podium contender; if you are looking to clean up or acquire high skilled movements, iron out any imbalances, close gaps in your skill set or sharpen your mind-set.

I have been coaching [in some capacity] since me teenage years and in a sporting/health and fitness sense since 2014. My passion for coaching functional fitness and personal training catapulted when I discovered CrossFit and saw how much it was revolutionising people’s lives. About me:

I am from Perth, Western Australia and have found myself in Essex since September 2016.
Growing up I played football until walking into a Muay Thai gym one off season at the age of 17. I was instantly hooked on the Thai Martial Art and booked my first trip to Thailand (I have now clocked up almost a year total on Thai soil) and never looked back. I never made it back to football and spent the next 6 years of my life grinding out an amateur, semi professional and professional Muay Thai career whilst teaching young and old Martial Artists the intricate striking art.

Once I had put in my shift in the ring and decided to move on from competing for various reasons so I needed something that challenged my character, was ever growing and most of all fun, enter Crossfit. I have been involved in Crossfit since December 2016 and have no plans to stop anytime soon. Since starting Crossfit I have been continuously frustrated, elated, sweaty and confused which brings a smile to my face every time I enter the box. Crossfit has the ability to make us all eternal students.

My passion in life is to give everybody that I come into contact with the confidence, tools and determination to create a better version of themselves. Whether this is achieved through exercise, nutrition, habit change or a conversation, I simply want people to strive towards being “better than yesterday”.

About me:

Initially (and still) an Olympic Weightlifter, I now also teach and participate in CrossFit.

I’ve always wanted to lift as much as I can, for my light frame, but now I’m hugely motivated by learning new skills and taking my body to its limits in multiple disciplines.

I’ve found contrary to popular belief, becoming a more well rounded athlete will improve the things you’re already good at, rather than hinder them.

Much like my training, I’m always looking to improve as a coach and learn new techniques to help give a better service to my clients.

Finding the smartest/fittest person in the room and picking their brains has been the way I got into the fitness industry, and I’ve continued to surround myself with people who excel in their fields to this day.

I’ve driven to the other side of the country to train with an Olympian for 2 hours, and I’ve changed gyms purely on the basis of knowing who the coaching staff were, even though it had a smaller range of equipment.

I’m a firm believer that environment dictates results better than equipment, which is why I always try to create the best environment for my clients to thrive.

In the past I’ve worked to help people meet specific targets in weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, and physique modelling, but I’ve also helped people with rehabilitation post-injury, general health, and those who are just looking to get a bit fitter.

About Me:

I’ve worked in the sports and fitness industry for more than 15 years, first in competitive boxing and rugby, and then in CrossFit from 2015. Since then I have competed in CrossFit both at Regional level, and at The European Championships, and have enjoyed coaching at CrossFit Colchester. I hold a Sports Science degree, my Level 3 in Personal Training, Level 2 in British Weightlifting, and I am a certified Level 2 CF-Trainer.
